The hidden wisdom of the mountain

Written by Candela Mendoza, wichi community, Province of Salta, Argentina.

The land knows things that humans don’t.

The land lives, sees and hears.

It sees the things that man and woman do.

The land is the trees, the earth, the wind, the thunder, the rain
and all things that fly and touch the earth.

The land is not just land.

He is the one who knows man’s thoughts.

Doesn’t man know?

Don’t you want to know?

I don’t know, he knows.

We who are human beings walking on the earth.

We can hear it, touch it.

We want rest, peace, and we find it because we are land.

Part of the land.

You are earth.

Stand up and listen.

It will listen to you.
