The hidden wisdom of the mountain

Written by Candela Mendoza, wichi community, Province of Salta, Argentina.

The mountain knows things that humans don’t.

The mountain lives, sees and hears.

It sees the things that man and woman do.

The mountain is the trees, the earth, the wind, the thunder, the rain and all things that fly and touch the earth.

The mountain is not just a mountain.

He is the one who knows man’s thoughts.

Doesn’t man know?

Don’t you want to know?

I don’t know, he knows.

We who are human beings walking on the earth

We can hear it, touch it.

We want rest, peace, and we find it because we are land.

Part of the land.

You are earth.

Stand up and listen.

He will listen to you.
